Il y a des collaborations entre musiciens plutôt invraisemblables :
Celle entre Louis Aguilar et Cyril Debarge est … invraisemblable !
D’un côté, Cyril officie en solo dans Funky Fingers et en trio dans We Are Enfant Terrible ;
Il consacre son temps à l’amour du groove, à la batterie déjantée, et aux compositions Beat-nik-douille-c’est toi l’andouille !
De l’autre côté, Louis Aguilar joue avec les Crocodile Tears ses lubies folk du plus juste tenant ;
Il consacre son temps à l’amour de l’amour, aux mélodies chiadées, et aux belles poupées harmoniques qu’il chante d’une voix bien posée !
Les deux ensemble, ça donne cette invraisemblable session de Weekend Affair dans les locaux des Baltringues !

Comment fait un groupe pour se former au lycée, passer par les études, s’orienter dans différentes voies, faire des gosses pour certains, vivre dans différentes villes, etc… Et 15 ans plus tard, continuer à avoir envie de faire vivre sa musique par la production d’albums qui révèlent à chaque fois des perles noise hardcore du meilleur cru ?! …
Quand j’étais au lycée et que je commençais à fréquenter les salles lilloises, j’entendais déjà parler de TANG !
Ils ont sorti 3 albums, et sont venus présenter leur tout dernier : “DYNAMITE DRUG DIAMOND“, sorti en Janvier 2012. Pour en rajouter une couche, ils sont arrivés à la Ferblanterie avec 2 invités de marque :
- 1 batteur, celui de Tronckh ( si vous ne connaissez pas, allez voir leur myspace, autant pour la musique que pour ce qui est écrit à droite à gauche sur la page, ça vaut le coup d’oeil et d’oreille 
- 1 guitariste, celui de lui-même sous le nom de X.b, et également guitariste dans Bison Bisou ( saison7-Attic Addict ). Ils ont fait trembler les murs de la Ferblanterie un dimanche soir d’Avril…
Et Attic Addict a enfin pu enregistrer ce groupe culte de la scène lilloise !!!

During the last night of the festival (when you don’t have all your mind anymore), while we were about to pack everything cause we thought we wouldn’t record any band anymore, a head popped up in the yourt.
He had a quick overlook on the equipement we had and then we started to stare at each other…
We knew you met before….
It was Louis Jucker, who we recorded in our early years with his band Julie Rocks You
As soon as we started to remember these good old memories, we went to pick up his drummer Luc Hess, and some friends as well to feature as guest :
Martin Driscoll playing the bass and Jona Nido from The Ocean playing the guitar.
We couldn’t imagine a better session to finish these four days of total crazyness!

Uncommonmenfrommars represent a lot of things for me. It makes me think about all this time I spent on my skateboard, trying to make some cool tricks … I was 15.
I was so happy to record this band !
But the shooting was not easy. They play too loud ! Our Hard drive was suffering … and the video recording should stop every 2 minutes.
Finally, after 4 missed shots, our video engineer put a pillow under the video laptop. And Uncommonmenfrommars played as loud as they’re used to.

Another Belgian Band we recorded on last session at Dour Festival : YEW
They’re described as a folk-rock band, and they were 7 to play under the Yurt.

When we proposed Mahala Raï Banda if they wanted to play in the yurt,
we had one problem : none of them spoke English, Flemish or French !
We finally found their manager.
After two or three words in romanian, the 11 musicians of the orchestra
walked joyfully to the yurt.
It was kind of a technical challenge for our sound guys,
but the band was so easy going that everything went fine !

Ghost Poet is a really good “souvenir” of Dour 2011 !
He was a discovery for the european public and his show was amazing.
He was a discovery for us, and he came in the yurt with his faith, his confidence, and a lot of stuff we had to plug to make this session happen !

Nous avions déjà enregistré une session avec Louis Aguilar. Il avait 18 ans et déjà pas mal d’idées sur l’écriture de chansons. C’était il y a 10, non 5, euh non, il y a 3 ans.
Il était accompagné d’Amélie ( Saison 2 ), et sa musique était habitée.
3 ans après, Louis Aguilar est toujours habité, mais plus que ça, son nouvel album est très bien habillé d’une batterie, d’une basse, et de compositions belles à faire s’émouvoir ta grand-mère qui a jamais pété un mot d’anglais !
Louis Aguilar already played in the Attic 3 years before ( with Amelie ). He was young and promising…
Today, we’re glad to hear him again, with a drummer and a bassist, releasing a new album !

2 musician and 2 technician were packed in a sunny little living room with plants and spaghetti cables to give Attic Addict Paris session vol.2.
Time moved slowly yet soon enough room floated up with her brilliant sounds coming from pedals and pedals, guitar and her voice. With her drummer, who joined for the last song, her session took us to little organic space journey with lovely songs. Yes it is hard to describe, it’s magic. Enjoy

We’ve been following our friends from The Bewitched Hands for a very long time now. Their song “Birds & Drums” was reverberating in the kitchen every sunday morning, while drinking our coffee, at the time we recorded their first Attic Addict session.
Today, we’re really happy and proud that their entering the small club of bands that have been “Attic Addicted” twice, and we’re just looking forward the third time!
The Bewitched Hands will be playing at La Cigale, Paris, on October 21st. Get your tickets to see them!
